Just a short post to let you know we still have spaces for this weekends Essay Writing Technique Course if anyone is interested.
This is our most renowned course and the cornerstone of our success and development.
The Course has been modified following the sudden and unprecedented chnage in the short answer essays in September 2006 and hopefully has got even better.
I for one am looking forward to getting going again and meeting a whole new group of candidates. We have an interesting exam for you on the Sunday and one that I hope, in combination with the Essay chosen for the Essay Practice Course, will esnure we spot 50% or more of the questions in the real exam. Our track record shows we can do this! _________________ "Teale Fenning Medical Education" delivering evidence-based, exam-orientated learning since 1997 |

Posted this in another thread but thought it was relevant here as well.
There are tricks to answering any type of question regardless of whether it is an Essay, an MCQ, an EMQ, or an OSCE viva station. That is our expertise and what we are famous for - giving you the ability to do well regardless of your level of knowledge and the difficulty of the question. Ask anyone who has done the Essay Writing Technique Course or an Essay Practice weekend and they will tell you they left feeling confident even after facing questions like:
A mid-trimester scan has shown the fetus has Teale Fenning disease. Critically appraise your subsequent management of this pregnancy.
and the classic ...
You are asked to see a woman with Beri Beri disease who is considering a pregnancy. How would you advise her?
or the unusual ...
Justify the advice you would give to a 28-year old woman with syringomyelia who requests contraception.
If you want to know how to answer these why not come along this Saturday? |
