| Are topics like single embryo transfer or PGD too technical for the exam (for SAQs)? |

topics such as these are unlikely to be saq s. the exam is aimed at the average year 3 reg, who is not expected to know details about PGD and SET.

I agree although SET may well feature in any essay on twins or fertility treatment.
It is a big (huge) issue and one that may well start to affect funding very soon.
Easy concept anyway.
SET results in singletons only but probably reduces pregnany rates. This may be addressed, in part, by moving towards blastocyst transfer although this is not achievable / suitable for all couples.
SET definitely has a role in sertain patients as does DET. |
