We have just advertised a post for a research fellow in Nottingham. Should have been in this weeks BMJ.

It is an excellent opportunity as you will get to learn gynaecological and obstetric scanning, including 3D, and MRI. The work will be entirely clinical which is unusual these days and should really add to your clinical skills.

The only caveat is that we need a senior person post MRCOG (there are a lot of knew potential candidate therefore!) who is able to work as a Senior Registrar. This relates to how the post is funded and is not negotiable.

Let me know if you are interetsed or if you want further information.

It's not too cold in the Midlands - a cardigan, or if you are a bit better off maybe a 'twin set', should keep you warm.

Seriously it is a great job and there is a real chance for an academic future using the tools that will be learned as they have clinical use.

I'd do it if I had the opportunity and was still training.

Please spread the word.

More than happy to speak to people about it either directly or through the Forum (posts and personal mail).
