One one would question the importance of practice.

However to begin with it is important to teach the basics.

This is best done using models and simulation is deal for learning surgical techniques. This is best achieved by arranding workshops led and coordinated by experienced tutors. Ideally, for surgical training, the workshops should involve tissue models although if this is not possible computer-aided learning is acceptable.

One suggested approach is:

(1) watch an animated video

(2) watch a clinical video

(3) watch a demo on a tissue model

(4) do the procedure on a model

(5) do the procedure on a patient (under supervision of course)

skills teaching has been an osce station for a few exams. some things already asked have been

1. forceps - teach student how to perform a forceps delivery
2. ventouse- teach student how to perform a ventouse delivery
3. instruments - forceps / scissors - name and explain use.
4 tying knots.

it'll help to practice teaching juniors, that's what i did.

Yes it includes all types of instrumental delivery and all types of surgical instrument as well. They also ask very basic stuff like knot tying which most candidates do badly on!
