From the 1st April this year (2007):
- in patient surgery must occur within 140 days (20 weeks)
- out patient surgery must occur within than 77 days (11 weeks) _________________ "Teale Fenning Medical Education" delivering evidence-based, exam-orientated learning since 1997 |

OK - we now have the 18 week wait
By April 2008 treatment must be completed within 18 weeks of the initial referral.
To achieve this many hospitals are working on a 4-4-10:
- four weeks to be seen in outpatients
- four weeks to complete any diagnostics
- ten weeks to the start of treatment. |
