I actually was in the same circuit as Bronwyn. He was not too bad with me though the examiner at my first station (the cannabis role paying station), who was supposed to be invisble, really put me off. He shook his head vigorously so many times when I was trying to do my consultation that I became afraid his head might have fallen off or that he would develop vertigo! VERY off-putting.
However, the thing that I have taken away from this is that, you just HAVE to let it go and get on with things. In the end of the day, if you have said the right things, they have to award you the marks. I left the exam feeling drained and thought that I didnt do very well but apparently, I did enough.
With the OSCE, the trick is PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE. _________________ Mei Lin HOO

It sounds as if that would have been a good thing! |

My examiner in the GCIN III station was scary .... the first 2 mins he did nothing, but after that he kept himself busy writting an essay.. i have no idea what the hell he was writting, when i stop talking he stops writting.. and I tried to check that twice .. which made me so confused.. as a result of that, in the middle of my consultation, I realised i did a major mistake and had to apologise to my role player that i have given her the wrong information and started again.. at this point he started erasing what he has written.. I felt as if I'm in the court and every word i say is documented..
he was so distracting .. moving alot.. (writting and erasing) and I was hoping he doesn't use that against me ..
I'm very interested to know what was my mark in that station.. I'm still thinking about it, specially that many candidates approached this station differently.
At the time i was so upset and wanted to complain, but now I'm laughing about it.. because he must have been drawing a picture of his new house in the countryside.

Wishful thinking!
It sounds very off putting and, if I am entirely honest, quite rude.
I can clearly remember an examiner speaking loudly at the front of the main hall when I did my first essay paper. I was right at the front and he spoke from the minute we were allowed to write. It took me 40 + minutes to get the courage to ask him to be quiet, which he did. I must have scared him because by the time I said something I was boiling mad and gave him my bext angry eyes |
