Nick was right on the EWT course that these 2 papers are now being joined as one
http://www.rcog.org.uk/index.asp?PageID=1336
So its now a 2 and 3/4 hr paper,75 mins for EMQ and 90 mins for MCQ.
At least it gives more time for the EMQ's as this was what most people complained about before.
Just wanted to flag it up,i was just browsing the college site and saw it |

Good - we knew this was planned but it is reassuring to see they have made this general knowledge.
I totally agree that it will make life much easier but please, please, please still take time for the MCQs. If you do the EMQs first you could take too long, considering their complexity which will remain unchanged, and then be rushed during the MCQ.
I think the suggested breakdown of 75 minutes for the EMQ and 90 minutes for the MCQs is spot on. Try to keep to this and use the advice we gave you about plotting some time points to ensure you stay on track. |

| Another change is that the essays are now all done in the afternoon, with only a 15 min break in between the obstetric and gynae essays. At least the previous setup provided a break for our hands from writing... |
