Answer true or false
the following state ments regarding inflamatory bowel disease during pregnancy are correct
1)ulcerative colitis developing for the first time in pregnancy is likely to be severe
2)ulcerative colitis has a more than 50%chance of remaining quiescent
3)salazoprin is used for maintaing and inducing remission
4)exacerbation of crohn disease occur during the first trimester
5)for acute phase of crohn disease in the first trimester metronidazole is the treatment of choice
6)active crohn disease is commonly associated with megaloblastic anemia

True

True. This is not significantly more than annual risk of flare in UC. If the woman is in remission when concieving, the risk will be down to 30%


3)salazoprin is used for maintaing and inducing remission

True


4)exacerbation of crohn disease occur during the first trimester

True. but not exclusively.

5)for acute phase of crohn disease in the first trimester metronidazole is the treatment of choice

True I think so. It is a good treatment but is it the Tx of choice?


6)active crohn disease is commonly associated with megaloblastic anemia

True
