Chose the most appropriate management option under the following circumstances:
A urgent USG
B suction evacuation
C sharp curettage
D anti-D
23 yr old with features of incomplete miscarriage at 12 weeks gestation. In previous pregnancy she was sensitised and had to have an intrauterine transfusion. Still she is bleeding heavily.
She is bleeding 'heavily' does this make it USG or evacuation? |

Need more info (as always ) I am afraid.
Is she haemodynamically stable? Were there options for acute management such as iv access, fluids, resuscitation? And what about vaginal examination, syntocinon, PGs etc?
The key to these is to read and cosnider each and every option. We only have 4 at present and it is possible (indeed probable) that the answer is not given in the list you provide.
What do you mean by USG?
I was wondering whether there was an option for suction ERPOC if you were given 'sharp' and what about USS-guided ERPOC? |

With whatever limited info and options given I think features of incomplete miscarriage at 12 weeks gestation and bleeding heavily I wuld go for suction evacuation.
Inadequate options though |
