Well the obvious thing is to do one of our Courses! Smile

This may not be possible if you are based in Pakistan but we now offer a weeks course for the written - our ABC in O&G Course which is followed by a weekend of EMQs and MCQs in our new EMCQ Course.

Failing that use the Forum - write your own questions and use the key texts (main textbooks, Guidelines, revision journals etc) to do this.

Not sure what you mean but the only way to do our OSCE stations is to come on one of our Courses Wink

No the ABC Course is not on line. It is a weeks course at the College although I plan to move the written courses up to Nottingham at some stage.

Isn't that self-explanatory?? Sad

You, the member, write MCQ, EMQ, and Essay questions and post them here for us to discuss and debate as happens on a daily basis. Sorry can't make it any clearer.

Hi Farha

No, no, no ... I did not mean people from Pakistan are unlikely to pass the MRCOG!!! Shocked

I meant they will be unable to attend our Courses in the UK! Razz

A question of geography not capability.

On line courses

This is something we are working on both in terms of the content and presentation. It is a lot harder than you may think especially as we want it to be the best available. I am slowly building a team of people but this is not something I anticipate will be available this year.

I plan to get the correspondence essay course up and running this week so that will give people the opportunity to do essays and send them to us for marking.

Sorry to hear that. We are seeing an increasing number of people fail the EMQ and actually pass the essays which is a huge change.

The Guidelines are much more informative than the key texts in this. Several EMQs are taken straight from the guidelines plus other key references / guides such as the NICE guidelines, the Cochrane database of systematic reviews, and so on.

The older texts are better for the MCQ where many of the questions in the Past Paper book come from.

We have combined all our MCQ and EMQ courses into one weekend now - the EMCQ Course - which would be a good revision toll or you could also do these with essay practice in the week long ABC in O&G Course.
