The following statements regarding domestic violence are correct:
1) The lifetime prevalence for a woman is about 10-15%
2) In pregnancy it tends to be directed towards breast and abdomen.
3)It is less likely to occur during the postpartum period than during pregnancy.
4) A woman is less likely to disclose experiences of domestic violence when asked direct questions about it.
staff identify about 60%.
5) Among injured women, accident and emergency staff identify about 60%.
Higher rates of domestic violence are found among
6) Teenagers.
7) Married wotnen over 35 years of age.
Domestic violence may be the underlying problem in
8)Abruption.
9) Ectopic pregnancy.
10) Non-specific abdominal pain

ashadeep,
can you post fewer mcqs at a time as in my experience when we have a list they get answered only as a true and false and most people don't try and discuss the topic.

Raj, I was actually trying to post a 100 MCQs atleast - somehow and with great difficulty tried to stop myself where I did last night. |

They look fine to me and remember the exam is at least 3 years old!
I would cross reference these figures against those in the Confidential Enquiry however as these are probably the ones that will be used in the exam.
Cpeedahsa - post s many as you want but as Raj says do so in smaller batches to encourage discussion. I would also wait longer (maybe 4-5 days or longer) to answer as this will have the same effect. We still do not have that many active participants and maybe a longer waiitng period will bring more out of hiding!
