To all forum members...
I have been fortunate enough to get two offers for ST2 run through training. One in Wales the other in London/KSS. Neither can give specifics on where abouts in those massive regions!!
I am still hoping for Wessex number in the next day or two (a recycled offer hopefully)
My question is (saying that I do not get a wessex offer) which training scheme should i go for...

Wales - i trained in wales, nice place to live, cheaper, lots of friends still around......

London - ?better prospects when it comes to consultant job ??better training, prob nearer family......

What do you guys/gals think? Any opinions on the above rotations.
I have to decide by Sunday evening. (unless wessex comes through!!)

Thanks[/b]

I voted for London which is rich for someone who has never worked there or in Wales!! Rolling Eyes

My reasons - exactly what you said about career options although I am unsure how valid that comment is. Surel there must be trainee surveys of job prospects for each region over the last 10 years??

Friends are very important however and Wales has a great reputation for education especially Cardiff.

Fingers crossed Wessex will come through.

I do not know many people who move to London and truly regret it - a few maybe but if you embrace London life you can't go wrong (other than the cost of course).

Living in London as a Consultant is a different matter altogether - we can discuss that in 7 years!! Laughing

thanks for the advice Nick
I have decided to decline the london offer while i wait for a possible wessex offer so that one can be recycled. If not wessex then wales is my backup after taking everything into account (cost/lifestyle/friends/new baby/not knowing where in london/kss etc)
