1) should be removed at approximately 36 weeks of gestation
2)should not be carried out prior to16 weeks of gestation
3)technically more difficult then vaginal

AM I CORRECCT ?
I am not sure about no 2 my gut feelin says that it is false but my brain says it is true because by 16 week it is clear that pregnency is viable or not plus congenital abnormalities are also ruled out so right time for circlage is after' 16 week well it could be 12week as well. please correct me |

False
Transabdominal cerclage placement is usually performed either prior to conception or during early pregnancy (at 11 to 14 weeks). Placement of the cerclage later in pregnancy is undesirable since the large size of the uterus makes the procedure difficult and thus may be associated with a higher risk of complications.

False
The suture is not removed at 36 weeks.
The rule in case of abdominal cervical cerclage is delivery by cesarean section. |
